Ramp Service Agent Job DescriptionAt Signature Flight Support Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ramp Service Agent to join our team at Orlando International Airport (MCO).The Ramp Service Agent is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of baggage, freight, and cargo from aircraft. This includes chocking aircraft, connecting electrical power units, positioning passenger stairs/Jetways, replenishing water supplies, and connecting tow bars and tugs.The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus one to three months of related experience and/or training. They must also possess a valid state driver's license, be at least 18 years old, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.The Ramp Service Agent will work in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks in varying weather and environmental conditions. They must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear. They must also be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and operate company equipment in a safe manner.The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to clearly communicate in English with others in person, via telephone, radio communicators, and in writing.   • Load and unload baggage, freight, and cargo from aircraft
  • Chock aircraft
  • Connect electrical power units
  • Position passenger stairs/Jetways
  • Replenish water supplies
  • Connect tow bars and tugs
  • Provide air-start and air-conditioning
  • Operate headset/radio to communicate with ground crew, flight crew, and tow person
  • Assist with baggage check-in when necessary
  • Provide additional services as neededRequirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • One to three months of related experience and/or training
    • Valid state driver's license
    • At least 18 years old
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge
    • Successful completion of the Company's PST training program
