Job Description:

We are seeking a collaborative and knowledgeable Consultant Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. As a Consultant Pharmacist, you will work to provide expert consultation on medication therapy management, compliance with regulatory standards, and support patient care through virtual engagements. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our patients receive safe, effective, and personalized medication services in an in-clinic and digital healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medication therapy management services, including reviewing patient medication regimens and offering clinical recommendations.
  
  • Deliver expert pharmacy consultation services to healthcare organizations, patients, and stakeholders, offering insights to optimize patient care.
    
    • Develop and implement comprehensive medication management strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing medication-related issues.
      
      • Conduct thorough medication therapy reviews to identify and resolve potential medication-related problems.
        
        • Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to create and enforce medication-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
          
          • Stay current on emerging developments in pharmacy, including new medications, drug interactions, and regulatory updates.
            
            • Design and deliver educational programs and training for both healthcare professionals and patients to improve medication knowledge and safety.
              
              • Provide expert guidance to pharmacy staff on medication management, dispensing practices, and patient safety protocols.
                
                • Analyze medication utilization data to identify trends, optimize therapy outcomes, and recommend process improvements.
                  
                  • Act as a subject matter expert on pharmacy-related matters, providing valuable insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
                    
                    • Ensure that all online pharmacy operations are compliant with federal and state regulations and industry standards.
                      
                      • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and address medication-related concerns.
                        
                        • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for patients and provide guidance on proper use, side effects, and adherence.
                          
                          • Assist in the development of pharmacy policies, procedures, and best practices for the online platform.
                            
                            • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and adjust patient medication plans as needed.
                              
                              • Serve as a resource for pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals on medication therapy management.
                                
                                • Stay up-to-date on new medications, therapies, and regulations affecting brick-and-mortar and online pharmacy practice.
                                  Qualifications:
                                  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
                                  • Active pharmacist license in good standing, with the ability to practice in Florida (preferred).
                                  • Previous experience in a consultant or clinical pharmacist role, with a strong understanding of telepharmacy operations.
                                  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to counsel patients in person and virtually.
                                  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
                                  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
                                  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
