About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH):Manatee Memorial Hospital in
Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota
and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Part of the Manatee

Gold Seal of Approval. The 295-bed hospital with over 800
physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers
advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate
environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular
medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services - including
robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci - Surgical System, a
weight-loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient
radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology,
wound care and women's and children's services. Manatee Memorial
Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for
babies with special needs. -The RN-First Assist will work directly
with physicians and other providers to insure quality care and
appropriate documentation for Surgical patients. Member of the SCIP
committee with active involvement in process improvement measures.
Performs functions delineated under surgical services
ARNP/Physician Assistant delineation of privileges. Provides
professional leadership and support to health team members through
the following: excellent verbal and written communication; problem
solve and work effectively with the entire health care team,
patients and families; sound - planning and work organization;
working both independently and in teams. Demonstrates Service
Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. -Job

Qualifications
- FL RN License
- Candidate must have at least 2 years of First Assist OR
experience to be considered
- BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association, required

- Current PALS Certification through American Heart
Association
- Current CSFA certification (through NBSTSA) or SA-C
certification (through ABSA) must be maintained for employment
- Maintains licensure as Surgical First Assistant where indicated
by State Law
- Completion of a CAAHEP accredited or ABSA approved First
Assistant program that includes didactic and supervised clinical
