We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team; someone who wants to practice medicine with a focus on patient care between our clinics in Pinellas and Hillsborough County, Florida. This opportunity is a float position, with your home base clinic located in St. Petersburg, Florida.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates both autonomy and proficiency in performance of comprehensive health assessments for the Medicare Advantage patient population.
• Collaborates with member's primary care physician to create a care plan focused on prevention, early detection and timely intervention.
• Observes the scope of practice in the state in which he or she is licensed and working in.
• Communicates with physicians and family members during transitions of care.
• Effectively communicates with all members of the care team and facilitates a medically appropriate and effective plan of care to avoid unnecessary duplication of testing, and fragmentation of care. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation for an accredited NP certification program focusing on adult medicine
  • Currently licensed as an Acute, Adult/Gerontological or Family Nurse Practitionerin the state of practice or the ability to obtain a license prior to employment
  • Holds or is eligible for DEA licensure and CDS licensure (if required in the state of practice)
  • Up-to-date CPR Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system - specifically ECW
  • Knowledge of Medical Advantage, HEIDS, MRA and ICD-10 Coding
  • Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex and multifaceted situations.
