First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is currently accepting CVs from Pulmonary and Critical Care AGACNPs/PA-Cs to join their employed physician group on the West Coast of Florida.

FPG Pulmonology specializes in the areas of Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. • Full time AGACNP or Physician Assistant (PA-C) position.
• Hospital-based Day-shift position working thirteen 12-hour shifts per month (including weekends) rotating between the SMH-Venice Hospital and SMH Sarasota Campus.
• Shifts will be 7AM-7PM.
• Work collaboratively with Pulmonary/Critical Care (Intensivists) at each hospital along with other subspecialties to provide the best patient care.
• Circulate the units, evaluate patients, review daily notes, labs and studies to identify patient needs.
• Discuss care plans with RN s and enter orders accordingly.
• Review ABGs, vent settings and plan accordingly with Respiratory Therapists (RTs).
• Address cross coverage issues to include abnormal labs or changes in patient condition.
• Provide stabilization of patient if deterioration occurs.
• Will place central lines, perform intubations, participate in stroke alerts, and respond to house-wide codes when needed.
• Current AGACNP or PA-C with acute care experience is preferred, but not required. Open to providing training.Highlights of the opportunity:
