Essential Accountabilities
" Implement the Lean TPM program with a focus on "Predictive and
Preventive Maintenance" systems.
" Capture and use of equipment downtime data to drive the
maintenance continuous improvement plan.
" Decrease maintenance costs by tracking PM completion rates and
scheduling equipment downtime for "fixed time repairs" based on OEM
recommendations and/or run history.
" Maintain necessary spare parts for all redline equipment or high
frequency wear components.
" Create a daily work schedule to ensure mechanics are effectively
utilized. Ensure safety procedures are followed per policy.
" Evaluate/revise current work order system so a work backlog is
known and can be prioritized. Foster interdepartmental
communication and collaborations to ensure all maintenance related
issues are addressed and resolved in a timely and efficient manner,
especially safety items.
" Work with OEM vendors to ensure equipment meets clients
requirements and work diligently to resolve technical issues in a
professional and timely manner. Determine if outsourcing some
repairs is cost effective.
" Support plant infrastructure by ensuring employees maintain
updated forklift licenses and renewals, testing fire sprinklers
quarterly, moving boxes to archives bi-annually, updating SDS books
bi-annually, and conducting chiller chemical treatment monthly.
" Maximize the use potential of the Micromain computer maintenance
system.
" Maintenance shop must implement a sustainable 5S program.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 7-10 employees. Performs supervisory
responsibilities by managing and allocating employee resources in
accordance with company policies, applicable laws and company
initiatives/goals. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring,
training and developing employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work (including scheduling); appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
resolving problems. Acts as a change agent, and develops a
high-performing team in the spirit of exceptional service to all
internal and external partners. This position has input on a budget
of over $10 million dollars.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications
" BS Mechanical Engineering
" Associates degree, acceptable
Experience
" 4-6 years of relevant experience, required We are an equal
