Job Description:
Summary: Rosen Hotels & Resorts-- is seeking a skilled Laundry
Mechanic to join our team. Under limited supervision, the Laundry
Mechanic will perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance
and repair of industrial laundry equipment. This role involves
diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing equipment, as well as
performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance. The
ideal candidate will have electrical experience and the ability to
work in physically demanding conditions. Responsibilities: Diagnose
and repair industrial washers, dryers, water softeners, boilers,
ironers, folders, presses, air compressors, and other equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance as required and prescribed by each
piece of equipment. This will include but is not limited to,
servicing all electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic aspects of the
equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical
systems on plant equipment. Maintain equipment cleanliness and
ensure all machinery is in excellent working condition by following
the manufacturer's preventive maintenance programs. Regularly
inspect equipment and identify potential issues before they arise.
Assist in scheduling preventative maintenance tasks and ensure
adherence to safety protocols. Provide recommendations and
technical advice to the Laundry Director as needed. Attend relevant
technical training and manufacturer courses. Maintain a safe and
clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and
regulations, including OSHA standards. All other duties as
assigned. Experience/Qualifications: Experience in electrical
maintenance and mechanical repairs, including high voltage
electrical systems. Experience with a variety of hand and power
tools. Experience with multimeter operation and the ability to
utilize this to troubleshoot equipment and interpret readings to
identify deficiencies. Ability to read, interpret, and navigate
complex electrical schematics. Experience with high pressure steam
systems, including steam boilers and related components. Experience
working with natural gas systems and equipment. Ability to read and
utilize vendor-provided manuals. Ability to articulate issues and
coherently communicate with vendor technical support teams as
required in the troubleshooting process. Experience with pneumatic
and hydraulic equipment. Ability to work in conditions that may
include exposure to wet, hot, and physically demanding
environments. Experience working with automated systems and
fine-tuning them for optimal efficiency. Strong troubleshooting
skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices. Effective
communication skills to work with team members and supervisors.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently and 100 lbs.
infrequently. Must be able to legally work in the USA. Education
and Certification(s)/License(s): High school diploma or equivalent
required. Technical certification in electrical or mechanical
maintenance is preferred. Relevant training or certification in
OSHA safety standards. Additional licenses or certifications
related to laundry equipment maintenance are a plus. Discover Life
